The Qrew app is a social media platform that allows people to search and connect with trusted and reliable service professionals based on recommendations from their personal network. We combine the peace of mind of asking for a recommendation from a friend with the convenience of an online search.
Qrew aspires to be an inventory of trustworthy freelancers and small business owners personally vouched for by clients. Initially, we want to help them win additional business through their existing customers’ network and in time, provide them all necessary back-end functionalities so they focus on what matters the most, their customers.
Through our personal experience and research, we know how difficult it is to find a good and reliable service professional. Whether you are looking for a new designer, developer, accountant or lawyer, it is important to get these hires right, right away. The current process is complex. Online reviews are unreliable (30-40% fake or paid), asking for recommendations on social media and waiting for a response is time-consuming (in most cases those responses come from strangers), and calling/texting all your friends is not feasible. That is why we came up with the idea "Qrew". Qrew is a mobile app where friends can search and connect with each other's trusted service professionals.
Qrew combines the convenience of an online search with the reliability of asking a trusted friend for a recommendation. In other words, with a single click of a button you can see who your friends are working with for any service. You will get instant and trustworthy recommendations from people you know. It will also allow you to keep all your service professionals in one place and stay organized. 60% of people we surveyed lost contact information of a good service professional that they would like to rehire.

Compared to seeking recommendations on social media groups, Qrew is frictionless. When you seek a recommendation on Facebook or Nextdoor, you need to wait for someone to see your post and respond to you. Also, the people responding are usually strangers that happen to live close by or in the same social media group as you are. The recommendations are usually local. Lastly, people are constantly seeking similar recommendations (e.g. nanny services), which creates a repetition and bad customer experience for the users. Qrew is instant, recommendations are from your friends, results are global and there are no repetitive questions. One search and done!Compared to review platforms, Qrew is more trustworthy and efficient. When you seek a recommendation on Yelp or Google, you spend so much time reading review notes most of which are from strangers you don’t even know (and in some cases are from bots). These platforms also have the same search results for everyone. There are no review notes or stars in Qrew. It is a binary model. On Qrew, you know you are getting authentic and quality recommendations directly from your network customized for every user based on their connections.
Getting started with Qrew is easy. Select the “Sign up” option. Enter your phone number and enter the verification code that we send you. After that, enter your details—Name, Email, Phone Number—and you’re good to go!
Qrew pro is how your favorite service professionals sign up. The experience is tailored for their needs and it is FREE.
Yes! You can sign up on both sides if you are a professional but also hire professionals. A valid phone number can sign you up for max 1 client and 1 pro account.
Referring someone to the app is easy. To get started, press the hamburger menu on the top right side of the app. Then, press “Invite Friends & Professionals” to invite people on your contacts. Note: If you can’t see your contact list, then make sure to go to the settings of your phone and enable the ability to view contacts.
New service professionals are always being added to Qrew. The app contains an extensive list of services that you are looking for. Need to add a service that you don’t see on the app? Email us at info@qrew.co.
We recently made Qrew available in more than 130 countries. Hurray! Please be patient with us as the more connections you have on the app, the better it will serve for you. So please share it with you contacts so both you and them can benefit from each other’s recommendations.
Creating a new post is easy! On the “Newsboard” tab, press the “+” button on the bottom right to start a new post. You can upload images, mentions, hashtags, links and emojis to make your post richer.
There are two ways to grow your Qrew in the application:First externally, the app has invitation function which you can access via one of the two following methods:1- Invitation button in the hamburger menu2- The plus sign on the “My Qrew” page.You can use this functionality to inform any service professional about Qrew and invite them to the application. If they are already on the app, you can click on the “Find Qrew” button to see your trusted network’s service professionals and add them to your Qrew by going to the service professionals profile and clicking on the “+” sign underneath their profile picture.
In order to see one friend’s professionals, go to your friend's profile within the application and click on their “Qrew” button. In order to see all of your friend’s professionals, go to the “Find Qrew” page and search for a service, profession or name. The application shows you all the service professionals that your friend’s trust and loves.
Need to update your profile? No problem. Navigate to your profile by clicking the “Profile” tab. Then, press the “...” button on the top right corner and click on the edit profile button.
To join a group, go to Profile on the bottom. Then, press the “GROUPS” orange button. You can find groups you want to join by clicking the “Find Groups”, or you can create your own group by pressing the + button on the bottom right. From there, you can add a new photo, name, tags for the group, and an about section to get started. Also, there is a Public/Private toggle to change the group’s accessibility to users.
To add a profile picture, go to the Profile section of the app. Then, press the three dots on the top right corner and edit the profile. From there, you can add or update the profile picture.
You can join your friends’ group if they are a public group. However, if the group is private, then you will need an invite to join the group. Ask your friends for an invitation to the group if the group is private. Otherwise, feel free to join any public group you’d like!
Basic Qrew functionality will always be free to clients and professionals. Unlike other platforms, we don’t plan to control the relationship the service professionals have with their users. We are the enabler built to serve and enrich that relationship. Our monetization model will NOT be commission-based on each transaction. We plan to mirror Linkedin’s premium subscription model to provide valuable information and functionalities to the service professionals in return with a subscription fee. We also plan to explore advertising models. Currently, we are focused on perfecting our app and reaching as many people as possible. We want to add value first!
